We are aware of the developing situation with the Corona
Virus. News is changing quickly, and we want to assure you The
Heights Church is staying connected with local health and government officials
to provide for you and the community the best we can.
Over the last few months we have done our best to carefully follow all local and state mandates regarding Covid-19, and in some ways we have even gone beyond recommendations in making sure our campuses and everything that happens on our campuses is safe, sanitized and the best it can be. When we returned to in-person services in May, we set up seating to make it easy for people to practice “social distancing”.
So what is new now with our State Mandate on facial coverings? Nothing will change at The Heights for our services EXCEPT … if you want to wear a mask when you enter our facilities and when you leave, please do. We won’t be wearing masks on the platform while preaching or worshipping, but if you feel more comfortable wearing one, go for it. When you are in a service, you will not need to wear a mask during worship. For now none of our services will encourage “close contact with co-worshippers.” If you are going to be within six feet of another person, a face covering is recommended “unless the covering would cause significant mental or physical health risk to the individual.”
We will continue to do what we always strive to do. Our number one priority has always been and always will be to HONOR GOD. Number two is to make sure everyone who comes on our campuses is as safe as possible.
2 Timothy 1:7 says” For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and
of love and of a sound mind.” God is in control! Put your trust in Him and
have Faith! None of this has caught him by surprise and He is still
working all things together for our good. If you shift and maintain in
Faith, and not fear, you will see how God provides. He is more than
enough and has always provided, and He always will.
During times of crisis, we believe the
church is needed more than ever before. We encourage everyone to
pray for our country, for those affected, for our leaders and for God to bring
peace and comfort that only He can give. Let’s believe that God will
use this situation for the good of His kingdom and for hearts to be turned
